Michael P. Donnelly serves as Of Counsel with the Law Office of Oren D. Saltzman, LLC, where he concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration, estate litigation, and general corporate and tax matters. He has substantial experience in niche estate areas such as Medicaid planning for elderly and disabled; special needs trusts; modification of irrevocable trusts; estate planning for retirement plans; and estate planning for non-U.S. citizens.
He lectures frequently on estate and tax planning matters. He has served as an adjunct professor of estate planning and estate administration at the University of Baltimore Law School. He has also been a regular lecturer for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, (MICPEL), Inc.; National Business Institute; the Maryland State Bar Association; the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA); and numerous other organizations.
Mr. Donnelly earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Amherst College (1968) and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland Law School (1976). He previously served as chair of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc.; past president of the Baltimore Association of Tax Council; and a past director of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Donnelly resides in Baltimore City and enjoys playing tennis and golf in his leisure.
